Quick Start

WorkGoa is a desktop AI writing agent built for long-form and serialized fiction authors. It doesn't one-click your manuscript for you; it holds your worldbuilding, characters, and foreshadowing steady so you can finish the long, easy-to-derail road of a serial.

What you get

• A writing partner that remembers your settings: a million words in, characters hold and foreshadowing stays connected.
• A verifiable quality base: consistency, pacing, and prose style each have hard gates, not model goodwill.
• Fully local, bring-your-own model: your drafts stay with you and you connect the model yourself.

Start in three steps

1. Install and open: download the package for your platform and follow the first-launch prompts — see Install on macOS.
2. Connect a model: enter your own API Key once in Settings; from then on requests go straight from your machine to the provider you choose — see Connect a Model Provider.
3. Open a new book: create a manuscript workspace, add a title and one-line premise, and WorkGoa generates a writing-plan scaffold — see Create and Manage a Manuscript Workspace.

The writing rhythm

After you create a book, daily work loops through draft → review → finalize: the agent drafts from the ledgers, you revise, and consistency checks flag anything below bar. Once you're comfortable with the Interface Tour, dig into the Consistency Engine & Foreshadowing.
